Delete your Crumely account
You can ask us to delete your Crumely account and the data that belongs to it.
If you still have the app, the quickest way is Settings → Delete account. If the app is already gone from your phone, use the form below.
Before you ask
Subscriptions. If you subscribe to Crumely, cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play first. Deleting your account doesn't cancel it, and we can't cancel it for you.
Community recipes. Recipes you've published to the community stay in Crumely after your account goes, with your name removed. If you'd rather they go too, unpublish or delete them before you send the request.
What we delete
- Your profile and profile photo
- Your recipes and their photos
- Your cookbooks and baking plans
- Your shopping lists
- Recipes you imported
- Your ratings and reviews — the text and photos are removed
What stays
- Community recipes you published and didn't remove first, with your name taken off them
- A short record that you asked us to delete your account, so we can show the request was carried out
- Anything we have to keep by law — invoices and accounting records, for example. Our Privacy Policy explains how long we keep each kind.
How long it takes
We delete your data within 30 days of your request. Encrypted backups are overwritten within a further 90 days.
